Acquisition of Gordon Durham & Company Limited

On 20th February 2008, Norwest Holst Limited acquired the share capital of the long established, family owned Newcastle Upon Tyne building contractor, Gordon Durham & Company Limited.

The Company, which works principally for public sector clients in social housing and education, has an annual turnover in the region of £20 million and undertakes contracts of up to £10 million in the Newcastle area.

The Executive Directors of Gordon Durham, led by Ray Atkinson the Managing Director, will continue to manage and develop the business under our ownership.

The acquisition continues the implementation of VINCI PLC’s strategy to develop a network of well established regional contractors throughout England and Wales.
