Constructing Excellence

At the ‘Constructing Excellence in the North East’ in March 2005, the North Tyneside Partnering Agreement (NTPA), of which Gordon Durham & Co is a founding member, was awarded first place in the prize lists for Best Practice and Productivity.

The Best Practice Award was given on the basis of a project that had excelled its’ expectations and was judged on the calibre of project and on the quality and transferability of the knowledge gained during the project.

For the Productivity Award, the judging panel looked for an organisation’s commitment to continuous improvement and an organisation actively advocating performance measurement and responding effectively to this information.

Hartlepool Civic Society Awards

A special award presented to Gordon Durham & Co for our work on the Summerhill project in Hartlepool in 2003.

BT100 Award for Innovation

This national award was presented to Gordon Durham & Co and our construction partners at the Natural History Museum in London in October 2000.

Royal Town Planning Institute

‘Getting the Region to Work’ Award presented to Gordon Durham & Co for TEDCO business works in 2000.

Lord Mayor’s Design Awards

Award in Landscape category presented in 1998 by the City of Newcastle for work at the Marie Curie Centre in Elswick.
